Bruton poetry platform

Bruton Festival of Arts presents the Bruton Poetry Platform. At the Chapel, 28 May 2016.

Compered by Liv Torc who is an experienced and popular performer, compere and workshop leader. Winner of the last National Radio 4 Poetry Slam, second ever Bard of Exeter and resident poet at Exeter's first Poetry Festival. She is co- host of The Hip Yak Poetry Shack, performs nationally and internationally and runs a successful spoken word stage at WOMAD festival. Her first published collection 'Show Me Life' is available by Burning Eye Books.

The poetry competition is open to everyone 16+, and you don't need to be a poet. To enter create a poem with the theme of 'Life', be as comical, creative and honest as you like, then read or perform via the Spoken Word at the event. £5 per entry to enter the competition. Poetry will be judged and prizes awarded. Don't be shy give poetry a try.

There is no charge to this event however donations to Bruton Festival of Arts are welcome.

At the Chapel Clubroom. Bar opens from 7pm; competition starts promptly at 7.30pm curated by Bryony J Brook for Bruton Festival of Arts.
