Bruton based Green Energy company, Mishergas Ltd, plans to turn the problem of waste tyres into the asset of a constant source of renewable electricity. Every year there are around 50 million old tyres dumped in the UK. Many are incinerated or shipped abroad; Mishergas will use environmentally friendly technology to transform them into enough electricity on the National Grid for 15,000 homes, 24 hours a day.

In search of a challenge and turning her hand to something new, just over a year ago Fiona Runacre came up with the idea for ‘Made in Bruton’. This was after initially toying with the notion of running a shop or cafe. When no opportunities arose, it became necessary for Fiona to think out of the box.

Bruton-based photographer, Mary Jane Criddell has been a photographer since the mid 90’s. Her experience modelling for Synchro Modelling Agency followed by a career behind the camera has enabled her to develop a unique and intimate style of portrait photography. Mary Jane will be displaying a collection of her portrait work at Bruton Art Factory opening 24th June 2015.
